Is this the year that you finally book yourself onto that drawing class, or that textile workshop, or join that knitting group? Because if you think you might enjoy some kind of art, craft or design activity, why not start doing something now?
If you live in or near Bristol, there are classes, courses and workshops in just about every area of creativity that you can imagine. So what are you waiting for?
Work during the day? Don’t worry, lots of classes run during the evening or at weekends. If you are around during the day, there are also lots of daytime classes too.
Not sure where to start? Have a look at the Places page of this website to find out where you can go to take part in a class, course, workshop or group. Have a look at the websites of the places that you like the look of, or read the post about them on this website.
Worried about not being good enough? Never worry about not being good enough. The most important thing is that you enjoy what you do, and get a sense of fulfilment from it (although this is not the same as saying that you will always find it fun!).
Don’t think you can draw/paint/sew….etc.? No-one can do something that they have never done before and do it perfectly! To develop any sort of skill you need two things: guidance on TECHNIQUE and quite a bit of PRACTICE. Once you have both of those things, you will get better at what ever you choose to do!
So, what are you going to sign up for?
Have a wonderful and creative 2014!
